What is your Starbucks density?

Calculate the number of Starbucks within a 5-mile radius of your address.

Our Starbucks density out here in far Western Ballard: 44.

Off to San Jose for the day tomorrow. I was supposed to go there Tuesday, and I certainly tried, but the plane sat at the gate for 2 hours while they tried to repair something. I gave up, got off, and rescheduled the trip. Then I drove home from the airport and was at my desk by 9:30 a.m.--the same time I usually start the workday.

Starbucks density at current home address: 12. And interestingly, Starbuck's mapping software shows the closest one as being about 2 miles from me, when in fact it's about one third of a mile in the other direction.

Starbucks density at near-future home address: *42.* Sigh.

Current density where I grew up: 7.

Current density where I lived immediately previous to the Seattle area: 0 and 7.

(Sorry I'm peppering your blog: I'm researching a piece on blog software, and you're the only person I know on Blogger.com who probably won't mind me abusing/testing these comment forms. They're generally pretty awful. -geoff)
