All you need is toast and bacon

Collision Detection notes that two UK students have posted a recipe for cooking an egg using a pair of cell phones. "Cooking time will be proportional to the inverse square of the output power for a given distance from egg to phone," they note.

After reading your blog and looking at the bit about cooking an egg with
cell phones, I had no choice but to try it. This provided some amusing
diversion at work. We did it twice, using my Treo both times, but with
a different 2nd phone each time. First time we tried it for 5 minutes,
the second time for 11 minutes. On the first round, the 2nd phone did
not have an external antennae, so we put the phone as close to the egg
as possible. On the 2nd round, we used 2 phones with antennae, placing
them within about 1/4 inch of the egg.

The egg was as cold and raw after the second round as it was when it
    came out of the fridge.

I hereby declare this to be an urban legend.
